Jack Hollandsworth's Obituary
Jack Hollandsworth, age 67, of West Fork, Arkansas died Wednesday, August 08, 2007 in Springdale. He was born September 8, 1939 at Hayti, Missouri.. He was a Navy Seal during the Viet Nam Conflict and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Bronze Star, and a Good Conduct Medal. He graduated in 1972 from Pittsburg State Univerisity with a degree in Vocational Education, retired from Tyson?s and was working for McWhorter Trucking, and his passion and hobby was golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Bradley Hollandsworth in 1993 and his parents Mark and Margaret Lumpkin.
Survivors included his daughter, Pamela Laney and son-in-law, Bill Laney of Springdale, AR, his son, Scott Hollandsworth, grandchildren Will, Emily and Allison Laney of Springdale and Candice Hollandsworth, and good friend Ann Mason.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Pam Ciccioni officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM at Pleasanton Cemetery in Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation is Friday, August 10, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory.
The family has requested memorials be made to Circle of Life Hospice or First Tee Program, a program to introduce kids to the game of golf.
