Jack Nickell's Obituary
Jack Nickell, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on November 26,2024 at WRMC, Fayetteville, after a sudden illness. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Judie, 3 sons, Adam and wife Ashley, Andy, Aaron and wife Shannon. Grandchildren are Cameron and wife Caitlin, Ashton and her partner Cody, Dane, Brennan, London, Lincoln, Sophia, Olivia and bonus grands, Jackson, Alexandra and Henley. Great grands are Penelope, Noah and Wyatt Nickell and Rowan; his sister Sharon Lowe and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack was born in Fairborn, OH on January 25,1947 to Jesse and Iris Mae Nickell. His brother James, sister Phyllis Fischer and his beloved mother-in-law, Agnes Mattimore have all preceded him in death.
Jack graduated from Fairborn HS in 1965 and attended the University of Dayton. He was a gifted athlete who earned MVP honors in baseball at UD. Jack was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam war. He had various career paths and most recently was retired. He loved his family, dogs, gardening and, of course, the Razorbacks.
Following cremation, Jack will be interned in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville on December 12, 2024, at 10:30 am.
