Jack T. Herd's Obituary
Jack T. Herd, D.D.S., of Fayetteville, AR, passed away October 21, 2012 in Springdale, AR, at the age of 81 years. He was born in Nyssa, Oregon to parents Henry T. Herd and Atha (Mahan) Herd on May 13, 1931.
He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry. He had a private practice in North Little Rock before joining the VA as a staff dentist. He married Jean Shelton Herd in 1955.
He was a Korean War Veteran and was in the United States Marine Corps for 9 years. He later was commissioned in the USAF and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Herd, two daughters; Jan Paul of Fayetteville, AR, and Judy Branscum of Marshall, AR, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans
There will be a private family service at a later time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Memorial Crematory, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
