James B. Johnson, 86 of Fayetteville, AR formerly of Hot Springs Village, AR. He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on February 16, 2014. At his request, there will be no service held. Jim was born in Read Obituary

Dear Jennifer and family,We were deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. In the short time we knew him, our whole family appreciated his concern and friendship for Ed. He would look out for Ed through the night and days when we could not be there. They shared a love of the Razorbacks and watched several games together. He definitely made Ed's time at North Hills more comfortable and pleasant! When we would come in the room, Jim would always be glad to see us and ask how everyone was doing. And when we left, he made sure to tell us to be safe on the way home! Jennifer, we really appreciate the extra attention you gave Ed, always making sure he was settled in for the night and calling us when he needed help. Mountie and Jennifer...Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this time. Jimmy was a very unique person, able to bring out the best in everyone around him. His sense of humor and quick wit seemed to keep the fun going. The Golf outings we had at "The Village" will always be a fond memory...we always had a good time. He was just a great guy to be around. Montie and Jennifer, Bill and I are so sad to hear of your Dad's passing. We loved him so much, his personality was so fun. Being together with he and Montie was always so much fun. I loved hearing the stories of the golf course with he and Bill. If they were playing with any women he would be dancing and singing. He was like a father to Bill. Heaven has gained a special angel. We will miss him so much. I pray God will give you and your family strength and remember the good times. Please keep in touch and come see us when you are down this way.
Montie and Jennifer, I was so sad to hear about JB's passing. I loved him and cherish my memories of our times at AFCO. He and Mildred sat side by side in the accounting dept. and when he would run into a problem with what ever he was working on he would say "why did I leave Wyoming?" or "John 3:16". He wouldn't quote the scripture but just say "John 3:16". Just thinking about him makes me smile. He was such a special person. Montie you take care and please let us hear from you once in a while. Jennifer:Learning of your dad's death made me sad, but it also brought back some very pleasant memories. When you, Amy and Julie were wee little girls, maybe 5, 6, 7, etc. I can still see the three of you standing in front of our fireplace in the big stone house, hairbrushes in hand as your microphones, singing “Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head”. Cute, cute, cute! And I remember your house on McAdoo as well. We had get-togethers there on Friday evenings, always had fun and laughed a lot. Your mom and dad were great friends. I don't recall how we came to know each other, whether it was through your dad's job at the Foundry and my job at Pickens-Bond Construction Company, or Tom's (my husband) and your dad's South Arkansas connections. I have kept up with you somewhat thru Amy. Please accept my most sincere condolences. Jim was a good friend.Ruth Marlin
