James E. 'Dean' Harris' Obituary
James E. “Dean” Harris, age 83, of Fayetteville, died Friday, May 16, 2014 in Springdale. He was born April 28, 1931 in the Whitehouse Community, Arkansas, the son of Homer and Ella Shumate Harris. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanine Harris.
He was a retired employee of SWEPCO and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a farmer, an avid fisherman and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, June Harris; two sons, Wendell Harris and his wife Debbie of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Kavin Harris and his wife Thursia of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2014 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Moore’s Chapel followed by burial at Whitehouse Cemetery.
