James "Jim" David Prestwood, Jr.'s Obituary
James “Jim” David Prestwood, Jr., age 64, passed away on December 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 15, 1961, in Winter Haven, Florida, to James D. Prestwood, Sr. and Luna Knight Prestwood.
Jim began his career in broadcast television sales shortly after college and devoted his professional life to the industry. Known for his spirited nature and engaging demeanor, he approached everything—from his work to his hobbies—with passion and dedication. Whether cheering for his favorite team, out hunting, playing a round of golf, or hosting game nights, Jim’s competitive spirit and humor made every moment around him full of life.
Above all else, Jim cherished his family. His greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved most, and his kindness, laughter, and love will be remembered always.
He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Prestwood, Sr.; stepmother, Sue Prestwood; and brother, John Prestwood.
Jim is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michelle A. Prestwood of Rogers; his children, Lindsey Michelle Prestwood of Fort Worth, Texas, Nicholas Allen Prestwood and wife, Rilee, of Brownwood, Texas, Tiffany Nicole Rauser and Morgan Ashley Rauser, both of Lowell, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Kevin “Kailer” Rauser, Aleascia Michelle Sysombath, Aunalyn Marie Sysombath, and Aubri Ann Perkins; one great-grandson, Kross Rauser; mother-in-law, Ruby Jean Garretson; and stepbrothers, David Smith, and Tim Smith and wife, Patti of Panama City Florida.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Fellowship Bible church on Pleasant Grove Road in Lowell, Arkansas beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Shadow Valley Country Club.
