I'm so very sorry. Lu Burgner, Robbyn Tumey, Jimmy and I all served the local Democrat party and took trips together related to that. We'll always have fond memories of him & our many gatherings. None of us were able to attend his service for various reasons, but want to let the family know how much we thought of him. Jimmy & I also spent hours talking about his Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, politics and Arkansas history. I considered him an authority on all of it. God Speed, Jimmy.

With a heavy heart and flooded with wonderful memories, I pay my last respects. Jimmy was my good college friend, fraternity brother, room mate, road-trips to Razorback football games,many social gatherings at the local establishments, and as a groomsmen in my wedding. My memories of college days will always contain Jimmy. People we love never die. Jimmy will love on in my heart forever. RIP. Jimmy Joe Ward.

I’m so very sorry- he’ll be greatly missed. Our class of 1970 loved Jimmy- he was a worker, and always active in everything. We could count on him.
I sure enjoyed texting with him. There was a Razorback game on tv, and, though I am near Little Rock, we “watched it together” on tv, and made comments back and forth.
May God comfort you all.
