I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Jim Buckner, a fine Christian Gentleman, Soldier, and friend. I recall our days as students at Ouachita with fondness and pride. I have had the privilege of knowing all of you in this generation, as well as the previous generation, your fine parents. I was at homecoming long ago when Bill Arrington informed me of Martha's passing. She was an older generation of students than me, but I knew her then and in Pine Bluff later, an upstanding Christian woman and fit representative of your family in society. I always thought she was the prettiest cheerleader of them all. I fondly recall Wordy serving with me in the band. Jim lived up to everyone's expectations that he would be a fine soldier. Linda, you chose a good man and I know your loss. May God bless you all . Hunter Douglas
