James Lee Rampp's Obituary
James Lee Rampp, age 60, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers after a very short battle with Leukemia. He was born May 25, 1963, at Trumbull County Hospital in Warren, Ohio to John and Donna Jean Rogers.
He was adopted and raised alongside his sister, Kathy, by Geraldine Rampp in Mansfield, Ohio. Growing up he was an avid swimmer and diver. As a young man, he moved to California where he spent much of his adult life. He started a family and grew a massive circle of friends who he turned into family. Becoming a certified restoration master in water, fire, and mold damage, he spent his career restoring homes and restoring lives. He lived for spending time with loved ones, working his program, passing on life lessons, smoking meat, eating ribs, drinking black coffee, and being a Papa to many. He had faith in God and that people could change. He was funny, smart, generous, caring, loved deeply, and never failed to laugh at his own jokes - sometimes before he told them.
He will be remembered and celebrated by those he leaves behind; a daughter, Faith (Josh) Bretow; a grandson, Logan Bretow, and by those who became family; daughters, Brittani Glasner, Jennette (Nick) Southworth; Darrick and Amber Pashby; the children that know him as Papa; Willow Presley, Jack Hernandez, Tyler, Kyrra, and Addy Southworth, and Harlow Pashby; and his siblings, Joyce Rogers Rodriguez, Kenneth Rogers, Doris Johnson, John Shaffer, Kathy Crocker, Carole Beans, Craig Wiencek, and Joshua Rampp.
He was preceded in death by his love, Jeannie Glasner; his mother, Geraldine Rampp; biological parents; and siblings, Jerry Rogers, Barbara Miller, Karen Sharpp, and Milann Lisk.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25th at 1pm at First United Methodist Church Rogers, 307 West Elm Rogers, AR 72756
