James C. Reinhardt's Obituary
James C. Reinhardt, age 83, entered eternal rest surrounded by loved ones at Ciel Senior Living on September 22, 2024. He was born in Bay City, Michigan to Edna and Elmer Reinhardt and was the youngest of five children. He served as an Army hospital corpsman upon high school graduation. Jim graduated from Elkhart College, Indiana where he met the love of his life, Eileen M. Reinhardt. He spent many years working as a perfusionist and finished his career as a Fellow in Healthcare Administration. Many loved Jim for his witty personality and laughter always seemed to follow him. He enjoyed classical music and the family has fond memories of him driving down the highway waving his conductor wand out the window. He enjoyed gardening, and photography, and studied piano in his retirement. Jim was an active Sacred Heart Catholic Church member in Peoria, Illinois for over thirty years and served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister to the Sick. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his faithful and loving spouse, Eileen Reinhardt, of 56 years. His son, Curtis Reinhardt (Deana), and grandson Ian. His daughter Gretchen Brannon (Taylor) and grandson Jameson. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and one very beloved grandson, Sulley Reinhardt.
The immediate family will celebrate his life with a Rite of Committal 2:00 pm Thursday September 26, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
