James Richard Holmes' Obituary
James R. Holmes of Fayetteville went to be with our Lord on April 9, 2014. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and an American Veteran who served his country for 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pearl. Son, Edward E. and wife Tina, daughter Tanya of California and their children. Son, Edward L and wife Traci of Fayetteville, their daughters Sandi and Elaynah of Fayetteville and Tawni Hammons and her husband Dustin of Elkins. Stepson Jimmy Moore and his wife Tammy of Fayetteville and their children, Jimmy Jr. and Jason of Fayetteville and daughter Heather Hurshman and her husband Michael of Rogers. Stepdaughter Pearl Riley and her husband Steve, children Brandi Davis of California and Joe Davis of Virginia. Stepdaughter Marianne Moore and her children Misty Iwig, Josh Iwig, and Annmarie Esmond and her husband Cody, all of California. Brother, Steve and his wife Atsuko of California. He had numerous great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his brother Jeff. No services will be held at his request. Please just keep all the wonderful memories of his life, not his death. In lieu of flowers, potted plants or cards, please make a donation in his name to the Disabled Veterans Fund or the American Diabetes Foundation. It would be greatly appreciated.
