James Franklin Rieff's Obituary
James Franklin Rieff “Frank”, age 72, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born in Fayetteville on November 13, 1951, to Sidney T. Rieff, Jr. and Ella Jean (Marshall, Rieff) Pryor. He as preceded in death by his parents and his brother Patrick Pryor.
He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. He was a farmer, barber, Real Estate Agent and Broker for many years. He was the owner and operator of several restaurants in Arkansas and Texas. He loved to cook, especially for his family for the holidays. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, treasure hunting, and diamond mining. He unearthed several diamonds with his son James and brother Marshall at Crater of Diamonds State Park. A loving family man with an ear to listen and Godly advice to those willing to listen. He was a teacher of the Word of God in every aspect of his life.
Left to cherish his memory are his son James F. Rieff, Jr. and his wife Sheri (Clay) Rieff of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter Amanda Thompson and husband Jeremy of Hulbert, Oklahoma; sisters Martha Sue Wilson of Savoy, Arkansas, and Bobette Risk of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brothers Sidney Rieff and wife Becky of Garfield, Arkansas, and Marshall Rieff of Fayetteville, Arkansas; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at Baptist Ford Cemetery on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00PM under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
