James 'Jim' William Putnam's Obituary
James William “Jim” Putnam, was born April 30, 1950 in a U. S. Army hospital in Munich, German and died on August 7, 2011.
His parents were William and Rachel Putnam.
He spent 25 years as a bicycle salesman/mechanic with his father, Freewheeling Cycles in Monterey, CA. He was an avid antique car persona and followed stock car racing.
Jim was a fun loving person who made friends easily.
He is survived by his father, Bill of Salinas, CA; his sister, Ramona of Farmington and a cousin, Vicki Norvell and her husband Bill of Farmington.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel; paternal grandparents, JC and Eva Putnam; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Laura Fairless of Farmington and an aunt, Helen Blackwell.
Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
