Jamison Foster Holtzclaw's Obituary
Jamison Foster Holtzclaw, 89, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born April 9, 1919 in Marvell, Arkansas. The son of Dr. Jeddie Foster and Clara (Tschabold) Holtzclaw. He retired from McClinton-Anchor Construction Co., in 1981 after 30 years of dedicated service, a United States Army Veteran of WWII in which he served four years overseas, a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #1, and a 32nd degree mason, Valley of Ft. Smith, a life time member of the Northwest Arkansas Bassmasters, member of the Shelton Tucker American Legion and a member of the Sang Avenue Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years Grayce Faye (Greene) Holtzclaw and one sister; Frances Cothran.
He is survived by one son; Benny Holtzclaw and wife Kathy of Springdale, Arkansas, two daughters, Trudy Bradley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jamie Womack and husband Richard of Springdale, Arkansas, five grandchildren; Matt Holtzclaw of Springdale, Arkansas, Amy Bradley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ashlee Switzer of Nashville, Tennessee, Stacy Spangler of Little Rock, Arkansas, Missy Lewis of Fayetteville, Arkansas, eight great grandchildren and one sister; Clarice Willis of Marvell, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with Chaplain Phil Misenheimer and Rev. Paul Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Holtzclaw, Richard Womack, Shannon Spangler, Todd Lewis, Glyn Moppin, Roy Bradley and Jeff Switzer.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2009, with the family present during visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sang Avenue Baptist Church, 1425 North Sang Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701
