Janis Fae Blessing Trumbo, 77, of Fayetteville, died at home on Sept. 21. She was born April 2, 1931, in Lincoln, Neb., to Earl and Fae Blessing. She married Donald Trumbo Jr. on Jan. 5, 1957. They raised five sons — Trey, Tx, Tyl Read Obituary
I lived across the street on Eastwood in the 60’s. I babysat for the boys almost every weekend. I even would pack the boys in the car ( pre-seatbelt days), when your mom and dad went out of town. I worked in the mall for 20 years. Mrs. Trumbo always had a smile for me. My last job in the mall was manager of Walden Books. She loved to read and I always enjoyed her coming in the store. We talked about good reads. My heart goes out to you. She was a great lady.

Jan and her family were wonderful neighbors.Jan was nice and kind to every one, and she always put her family first. You could tell she was a good mother because of the fine boys she raised. You have my deepest sympathy in your loss. I was privileged to work with Jan at the Fayetteville Public Library many years ago. Even though we seldom saw each other after that, she always greeted me as if she were delighted to see me. I was certainly delighted to run into her. She was one of the most generous people I've ever met. The world will be less bright without her.
We were sorry to hear of Janis' passing. She was a beautiful,vivacious
fun classmate. We were both in the
Northeast Rockets Pep Club and had a lot of fun traveling to games and at home games. When Dick and I married and had a daughter we chose to name her
Janis, just remembering how we admired
your Mom, our classmate, Janis Blessing.
It was a joy to see Janis again at our
50th class reunion, in Lincoln, NE.
Next June will be our 60th reunion and
we always remember the wonderful friends who are no longer with us. We

Jan was such a wonderful person that I don't know where to begin. Growing up, she was like a second mother to me and made me feel like one of her boys. She always made people feel important, laughed heartily at their "not so funny" jokes to make them feel good, was so welcoming and friendly...making you feel more special than you really were. I hadn't seen her in many years, but I knew she was just a phone call away and would forgive my long absence and we would pick up as though we had seen each other just the day before. I'm going to miss Jan terribly and am sick I can't be at the memorial. I wish the best for all the Trumbo's and you have my sincere condolences.
I have many wonderful memories of Jan, especially her glowing smile and personality. She always lit up a room and warmed the hearts of all who crossed her path. What a joy to know her! My heartfelt sympathy is with the family at this very difficult time. I know each of you have beautiful memories of Jan to comfort and sustain you as you deal with your grief.
