Jasper Atha's Obituary
Jasper Marion Atha, age 87, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Fayetteville. He was born March 28, 1927 in Asher, Arkansas, the son of Francis Eugene and Laura Ophelia Ledford Atha. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lucille Jones Atha; two brothers, Eugene Atha and Merle Atha and a sister, Lexie Caler.
He was retired from H & R Tire & Auto and Mabry’s Auto Parts. He was a musician and loved nature. He was proud of his military service in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela F. Atha of Hermitage, Tennessee; two sisters, Gayle Evans of Fayetteville and Betty Goolsby of St. Paul and friend, Betty Paschal of Greenland.
A private graveside service will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
