Jeanette Davis' Obituary
Jeanette T. Davis, age 96, of Fayetteville died Friday December 14, 2012. She was born September 15, 1916 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Meno and Mattie (Aud) Levins. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Davis and two sisters, Elizabeth and Helene Levins.
Jeanette attended Oklahoma City University and married Eddie Davis in Dallas Texas in 1939. During World War II they resided in San Diego California and then returned to Oklahoma City in 1945. A subsequent move brought them to Fayetteville in 1955, where they opened Ozark Office Machines.
She was an avid reader and a gifted pianist who was offered the opportunity to attend Juilliard School in New York. She loved science and in particular the writings of Steven Hawking.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily Stuckey and her husband Fred of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, John Stuckey and his wife Kelly; Laura Stuckey; two grandsons, Jack and Beau Stuckey.
Memorial service will be 3:30 pm Monday December 17, 2012 in the library at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville.
