Jeanne Doss' Obituary
Jeanne Doss, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 82.
Jeanne was born in Antioch, California, and married, Eugene “Gene” Doss, in 1958.
Jeanne will be remembered for her strong spirit, playful nature, and the way she stayed busy caring for those around her. She found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life—helping with daily tasks, spending time with family, and making others smile. She never passed up a good game of Phase 10 or Yahtzee. Jeanne especially loved Halloween and was known for her playful habit of jumping out to scare those she loved. Her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her deep joy and was one of the greatest blessings of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Doss, Norma Hulse (Delbert), and Doris Spindler (Steve). She also leaves behind a large and loving legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren:
CJ Ford (Sharilyn) and their daughters Brequelle Weeks (daughter Xaili) and Brenna Luper (daughters Harlow and Sage); Lindy Alexander (daughter Alisan); Angel Nall (Zach) and their sons Brock and Gunner; Rachael Hawkins; Crystal Pitts (Andrew) and their sons Graydon, Hudson, and Ethan; Colton Hulse (Gabi) and their sons Bentley and Elias; Callie Hulse; Cory Brumley (Angel) and their son Soren; JJ Mitchell (Rhonda) and their daughters Mykale Vivone (Duante) and Carrington Mitchell; Justin Searles; and Christopher Rasco (Shonda).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Doss; her son, Curtis Doss; her parents, Burt Wolfenbarger and Dora Beede; and her siblings, Jake Wolfenbarger, Harley Wolfenbarger, Rusty Wolfenbarger, Edna Talbot, and Evelyn Bowers.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Jeanne’s memory to St Jude.
Jeanne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
