Jeff Woods' Obituary
Jeff Woods, 86, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was born November 20, 1925 in Gardena, California, the son of Brice A. and Jimmie Clayton Woods.
He was a retired aerospace engineer, having worked for Aerojet General and General Electric. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific on the U.S.S. Enterprise. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Liz Woods; two sons, Jeffery Woods and his wife Lori of Manassas, VA and Jon Woods and his wife Con Yee Ling of San Diego, CA; a sister, Ruth Schooling of Paradise, CA and five grandchildren, Jeffery C. Woods, Jennifer Woods, Janelle Woods, Ai Ke Woods and Ai Lee Woods.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1 in the Wesley Chapel at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
Burial will be at a later date in Punchbowl National Cemetery in Hawaii.
