Jennifer Neukranz Alexander's Obituary
“Be the things you loved most about the people who are gone” - unknown
When the next adventure presented itself on Friday, June 5, 2026, our sweet Jenny whispered her way to a distant star. Loved beyond measure and missed beyond belief, all those who knew and loved Jenny grieve the loss of an incredible, irreplaceable woman.
Jennifer Neukranz Alexander was born on Feb. 8, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to Diane White and Robert Neukranz. She lived a life full of adventure and drew family and friends into her circle effortlessly. Jenny was a wife, mother, best friend, artist, grandmother, teacher, and world traveler among other titles. While working at a tree nursery in northern California, Jenny met her husband Richard. They married in 1975, and the adventures commenced. Never ones to stay too long in one place, they lived in Trinidad, CA; Sydney, Australia; both the North and South Islands of New Zealand; Florida, and Hawaii before settling in Northwest Arkansas.
Always wanting to learn more, Jenny was an avid reader and gardener. She earned three degrees from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville: BS in Agriculture (1985), BS in Education (1986), and MSc in 1985. Before earning her degrees, Jenny worked in the hospitality industry as she and Richard lived around the world chasing one adventure after another. Oh, the stories Jenny and Richard had to tell! After settling in NW AR, Jenny soon became a science teacher at Southwest Junior High in Springdale, Arkansas where she taught eighth graders for many years in the 80s and 90s before retiring to tend to her gardens, artwork, grandchildren, and countless friendships.
Jenny is survived by her husband Richard Patrick Alexander, mother Diane White, sister Nancy Neukranz Seward, children Robert James Alexander and wife Hannah, daughter Eva Roze Alexander, and two grandchildren Millie Belle and Zayden (all of Fayetteville, AR) as well as seven nieces and nephews.
Described as loving, kind, caring, wonderful, humorous, graceful, down-to-earth, and “always game for new adventure whether through travel or places to live”, Jenny will be forever missed by those whose lives she touched and who were lucky enough to call her friend. In keeping with how we remember Jenny, her ashes will be scattered in multiple locations to memorialize her adventurous spirit and world-traveler lifestyle.
Please drop in at the Alexander home on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:30-9 pm for a “Remembering Jenny” gathering to celebrate the life and legacy of our unforgettable friend.
