Jerry Ernest "Ernie" Stegall's Obituary
Jerry Ernest Ernie Stegall, 66, of Bentonville, AR passed away April 28, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. He was born February 9, 1950 in Garden City, KS to Norman and Priscilla Hall Stegall.Ernie was a man that dedicated his life to his family. He loved his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He gave everything he had. He was always there with an extra tool, set of keys, anything that his daughters needed or anyone else at any time day or night.Ernie worked for Walmart Distribution Center for over 27 years. He was a NASCAR fan and his favorite drivers were Dale Earhart Sr. and Jr. He was also a huge OU Sooners fan, but the true athletes that he supported where his grandsons, Ashton and Camryn. He loved going to their baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer games and watching them ride their dirt bikes. He dressed in the team colors and loved helping supply their equipment. Ernie s last purchase was a set of Walkie Talkies because he was not able to walk up to the bleachers to cheer. He would sit in his truck and encourage and cheer on the team through the Walkie Talkies.He was a wonderful dancer, loved camping and canoeing on the Illinois River in his earlier years.He always told his family to slow down and do it right the first time . Ernie is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ernest Martin and Danny Stegall.Ernie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ginger Ray Stegall; two daughters, Tara L. Stegall and Jerri R. Tracy; two grandsons, Ashton and Camryn Tracy all of Bentonville; two brothers, Marty and Troy Stegall: two sisters, Jackie Graham and husband, Gary, Patty Maupin and husband, Kirk all of Oklahoma.Pallbearers include Ashton Tracy, Camryn Tracy, Jimmy Dale Stegall, Billy Joe Stegall, Gary Graham, Steve Ray, Flynt Ray, Stowe Ray, and Rayce Benson. Honorary pallbearers include Marty Stegall, Troy Stegall, Bob Benson, David Willet, Darrin Rickets, Richard Denton, and Gene Tallant.Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services.Funeral service will be at 1pm, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel with Jim Moore officiating. Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge with full military honors.
