Jerry Norris Lewis' Obituary
Jerry Norris Lewis, age 88, of Fayetteville, AR passed away Friday, October 17, 2025. He was born July 1, 1937, in Fayetteville, AR. His parents, Jerry Orville Lewis and Mildred Tennessee Boyd Lewis preceded him in death. Jerry was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Thelma Paschal Lewis; a son, Jerry “Bub” Lewis; a daughter, Deborah Bell; a grandson, Jason Bell; and a great-granddaughter, Serenity Northcott.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of Fayetteville. An avid sportsman, he was happiest in his boat fishing for crappie. He made his own fishing lures and sometimes sold them to friends and family.
He was a hard worker who always provided for his family. Jerry retired from Ayer’s Furniture in Fayetteville and from the City of Fayetteville.
Always ready with a joke or a prank, he had a great sense of humor. He was a kindhearted man and was loved by so many.
Survivors are his daughter; Sandra Bounds and husband Levi Zamen. His son John Lewis; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, at Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
