My condolences to all of Jerry’s family. We were good friends through our high school years in Clarksville. I always thought of Jerry as one of like mind with me on many issues. I particularly recall an overnight camping trip our senior year with him and Garry McGhee. We had a very long and deep conversation about life, religion and philosophy that still resonates with me. Only over the past few years I was happy to reconnect remotely via Facebook and to rediscover that we shared many of the same values and concerns. I’m glad to know that he’s passed on those values to family and to many of those he influenced over his accomplished career.
