Jerry N. Smith's Obituary
Jerry N. Smith, 75, of Fayetteville, died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born September 22, 1936 in Hilo, Arkansas, the son of Mitchell H. and Beulah A. Frisby Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Marjorie Metcalfe, Marguerite Smith and Janet Duncan.
He was an employee of Standard Register Company, retiring after 33 years of service. He attended the University of Arkansas. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and was a member of American Legion Post #27, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #877 and Paradise Valley Athletic Club.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Smith; two daughters, Sheila Smith of Plano, TX and Shannon Flynn of Lowell, AR; two granddaughters, Kelli Rose of Washington, D.C. and Averi Vagtborg of Brunswick, GA; a grandson, Austin Vagtborg of St.. Simons Island, GA; a great-granddaughter, Vera Celeste Rose; a sister-in-law, Toni Conrad of Fayetteville and three nieces, Cindy Looney of Farmington, Bette Ann Kizor of Fayetteville and Willow Stapleton of Hindsville, AR.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday at Moore’s Chapel. Intombment to be private. Cremation was by Moore’s Chapel.
