Nancy & Family - so sorry to hear that JERRY past away, and certainly sorry that we could not attend visitation or service. But want you to know that y’all have been in our prayers for some time now. We didn’t know Jerry that well, but I do know that the Smith grandchildren loved him dearly. God’s special blesses on you at this time.🙏❤️
Jerry was one of my husband's best friends, and mine as well. The Navy brought them together and they remained forever friends even after retirement. It is my thought that my husband was there waiting with open arms for Jerry, and honestly, it was probably a very happy reunion. I have many good memories of times we all shared. I an saddened for his family at their loss and offer my deepest condolences to all.
The first time he heard the song "The Streak" by Ray Stevens. He called my mom and asked her """ hehehe are you naked" . Mom hung up on him and called the police. Before long she would call here wanting to talk to Jerry and would said is he naked and giggle like a little school girl, you could just hear her turning red over the phone. He could bring out the fun in people.
