Jesse Lee Burks' Obituary
Jesse Lee Burks passed away on November 27, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1957, in Bermuda at St. George Parish, to the late James and Shirley (Misenheimer) Burks.
He was a Senior Vice President at Stephens Inc., where he worked for over two decades. He liked to say he’d never retire, and always true to his word, he never did. Jesse loved people, and people loved him in return. To those who knew him, he was truly larger than life. His family was the center of his world, and his devotion to them knew no limits.
When he was not spending time with his family, Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing CrossFit.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Bowden.
Jesse is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Lisa Chambers Burks; 2 daughters, Morgan Burks (Brett McClung) and Madeline Dunaway (Jacob); 3 brothers, Jimmy Burks, Paul Burks, and Johnny Burks; 3 grandchildren, Jax, Jasper and Jenson (who is on the way); and many extended family.
A visitation will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 4 until 6pm in Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville. A celebration of life will be on Friday at 1pm in Nelson-Berna Chapel, Fayetteville. Burial is private.
