A memory came up today about sleeping in mom and dad’s porch swing outside - like a daytime nap. I think it got started when I broke my leg. Anyway BEST NAPS EVER. I’m pretty sure I’m devoted to having one of those swings ASAP.

Jack was one of my Dad’s agricultural students. Dad thought very highly of him. Jack was a kind, generous, and compassionate person. Rest in peace sir.
I ended up being a prof horse trainer. The only thing I recall my dad said as a kid regarding horses was, “See that girl? I said yes. He said follow her around and do everything she does!” That girl was Martha Harris Meenen. Love ya Mart! Theresa.
I was dad’s feeding partner. So when we were riding in truck I’d ask if I could go with friends to do X, y, or z.
Total silence.
Not even kidding. About 2 hours later he’d say, “I guess”. And, I’d say, “Guess what”. He’d say “I guess you can go!”

When old enough to date. He said, “here’s a dime call me anytime. I’ll come get ya - no questions asked.”
So jr prom, my date didn’t wanna dance. I just got up and went out and danced with all my friends. Date left! After dance was over there he was. I said, NOPE too late - my dad’s come’n to get me!! LOL.
When he taught me to drive.
Every single time he’d put his cup of coffee on the dash and say, “Don’t spill my coffee!”
Needless to say I’m a really good driver so I’ve been told.
