Jesse Darwin Page's Obituary
Jesse Darwin Page, passed away on June 7, 2024, at his rural home near Cave Springs, Arkansas. Born on December 9, 1934, in Smithville, Oklahoma, Jesse was the cherished son of Luther and Roma Lee (Rigsby) Page.
Jesse's journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to service, family, and community. After graduating from Smithville High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying the values of honor and duty.
A dedicated member of the Northwest Church in Bentonville, Jesse's simple faith was evidenced through infectious joy, service, and commitment.
Jesse's heart belonged to Lucretia, his beloved wife of 60 years. Together, they shared a bond built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. His legacy of love extended to his children: Ann Zupke (Stephen), Kathaleen Cooper (Darin), David Page (Kelly), Brian Page (Rachael), and John Page (Tracy). Jesse's devotion to his entire family knew no bounds. His enthusiastic, warm welcome endeared him to children and adults alike. This treasured legacy runs deep in his generations.
A man of many talents, Jesse loved working with his hands. He built his own house and found great delight crafting cedar chests and toys for all his family, thinking even of his yet unborn grandchildren. His craftsmanship was a testament of his dedicated practical service to the many he loved. Jesse's fondness for sports was legendary, as he continued to play softball well into his 50s. His infectious energy earned him the endearing nicknames of "Hotshot," "Sparkplug," and "Dynamite."
Jesse's bright smile and warm personality will be deeply missed by his sisters, Dorothy Bailey, Laveda Padgett, and Janice Belknap, along with his 24 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Gerald "Peanut" Page, Billy Wayne Page, Robert Lewis "RL" Page, Doris Rozell, Luther Lee Page, Eugene Page, Earl "Tuffy" Page, Lavern Rowell, Joanne Bailey, and James Page.
A visitation to honor Jesse's life will be held on June 14, 2024, at Northwest Church of Bentonville from 12:00-1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Jesse will be laid to rest at Cave Springs Cemetery.
