Jim Lindsay's Obituary
Jim Lindsay, age 89, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday November 15, 2022. He was born May 13, 1933 in Alabam, Arkansas to Lee and Mabel Hatfield Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Lindsay; grandson, Shane Turner; two nieces, Zondra Goodnight and Tracy Rinker. Jim Lindsay was a deacon and lifelong member of West Ridge Freewill Baptist Church. Papa loved his family and his wife Betty of over 50 years. Jim spent his life serving the Lord and his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Magadan (Joe) and Durenda Turner both of Fayetteville; one brother, Bob Lindsay; seven grandkids, Tonia Henigan (Brian), Lucas Myer (Toni), Lexy Houghland (Chuck), Alisha Watson (Bobby), J.P. Magadan, Justin Magadan (Cindy), Jordan Magadan (Alexis) and eleven great-grandkids; niece, Jennifer Walker and three nephews Johnny Lindsay, Jerry Lindsay and Brian Shumate.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday at West Ridge Free Will Baptist Church followed by burial at Whitehouse Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
