Jimmy W. Plumlee's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy W. Plumlee, 71, on January 5, 2025. Born on November 27, 1953, Jimmy led a remarkable life defined by hard work, kindness, and a deep love for those around him.
Jimmy earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his knowledge and unwavering commitment to the title industry. He was recognized by the Arkansas Land Title Association for a 50 year career as well as Title Person of the Year award. A visionary in his field, he has been credited with insisting WACO be the first title company to own a fax machine, instrumental in its recognition as Small Business of the Year, and later became co-owner of City Title. But what truly set Jimmy apart was his warm and friendly personality. He never met a stranger and was eager to help others.
He cherished time spent with his family, traveling, and sharing stories that often centered around the pride he had for his children and grandchildren. His generous spirit and love of life left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jimmy is survived by: Lee Long, Kevin Plumlee (Jessica), Kelli Schlesinger (Scott), Mary Nell Plumlee, and his beloved grandchildren: Olivia, Maci, Annabella, and Jude. He is also survived by his siblings: Marva Boatright, Nelda Netherton (Darrell), Glen Plumlee (Patti), and Becky Chapman (Larry).
Jimmy’s kindness, humor, and love will be deeply missed but will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at Pinnacle Country Club on Thursday, January 16th from 4 to 6pm.
Jimmy was a supporter of the Northwest Arkansas Food bank, and we would like to continue his legacy by asking for donations In lieu of flowers.
