Jimmy Lee Poplin's Obituary
Jimmy Lee Poplin, age 79, of Mansfield, Arkansas, passed away on March 12, 2024, in Greenwood, Arkansas. He was born on December 19, 1944, in Borger, Texas, to Alford Poplin and Claudine Dorrugh Poplin. Jimmy married Carolyn Clark on March 25, 1966 in Springdale, Arkansas. He worked for many years at George’s Inc. for many years, before spending the last twenty years as a cattle farmer. He was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; parents, Alford and Claudine Poplin; sister, Sharon Reynolds; and brothers, Wayne Poplin, Harvey Poplin, Earnest Poplin, and Tommy Poplin.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Lyn Poplin and wife Anne of Booneville, Arkansas; daughter, Belinda Saunders and husband Chris of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandsons, Matthew Poplin and Nate Poplin; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
