I first met Joan when we worked a flight together to BDA. She casually said, “I feel like a trip around the world”. Without hesitation I answered, “You make the plans and I'll go with you.” Almost immediately, we embarked on our own, “Around the World in 80 Days”, actually it was 84 days! No plans, no tours, armed only with what we had read about in National Geographic, we headed west with the sun. It was off to “far away places with strange sounding names…….” Those 84 days were only the beginning of many more adventures. Memories are as vivid today as they were when we were living them. Til we meet again……My sincerest sympathy to her Dad and family.
