John & Bill went duck hunting every chance they got. We only had a phone on my side of the bed. When his 4:30 am call came to wake up Bill, he loved teasing me every time I answered with, "Jackie, we're going to have to stop meeting like this!"
John went out of the country on one of his deep-sea fishing expeditions, and he sent me a beautiful hand-carved teak jewelry box. I guess it was payback for all his early morning harassment.
So many stories.
One of our many fun adventures--John and I were going to float Kings River. We put in and took off. John was still standing up in the boat, the boat hit a rock and in he went. He said as he came up, "Boy, we're not even out of sight of the truck yet and I'm already wet!" 😂
