John Bradley Christie's Obituary
John Bradley Christie, 71 of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at his home. He was born December 3, 1933 in Atchison, Kansas to Bradley R. and Stella M. Schlinger Christie. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from University of Kansas and a Masters degree from Georgetown University. He served in the United States Army, and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a retired engineer for NCR. His volunteer work included, Senior Net instructor at Mt. Sequoyah, treasurer of Artists of Northwest Arkansas, and helping at Central United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stirling Christie of the home, two sons, Bradley Christie of Richmond, California, and Don Christie of Buffalo, NY, a daughter, Mary Jane Hetzlein of Ithaca, NY, two step-sons, John E. Herzik of Fayetteville, AR and Wes Herzik of New York City, NY, a sister, Rowena M. Kehe of Las Vegas, Nevada, four grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Anthony Holifield officiating. Graveside committal services will be private at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Central United Methodist Church.
