Allen Scarbrough
I know my signing of this guest book is years late, but I wanted to pay my respects. Mr. Schisler was a high school teacher of mine that I will never forget. He taught about life and he helped all his students to gain self-respect. Mr. Schisler was a very special person and it pains my heart that I didn't get the chance to see him and talk to him just once more. His impact on my life went far beyond whatever English refinement he taught me. I miss him immensely and should have tried many years ago to contact him. I was in the hospital during most of the year that he passed as I was having many operations due to chronic diseases that I have. Mr. Schisler will never, ever be forgotten by me. My teenage years were terribly troubled and rough, not that I was a troublemaker or anything, but my childhood and young adult life were troubled by home life and the abuses there. Mr. Schisler helped me to cope and to rise above so much of that because he was the first strong male role model I had encountered... May he rest in the peace of God Almighty in Heaven.
Sincerely and Sadly,
Allen Scarbrough (Graduated Fayetteville High School West Campus - 1985)
