I loved John. He was a light in my life when we were both at Universal and John spun magic with Spencer Gifts. After Universal, John was a great friend and a constant inspiration. As the Executive Director of Primrose Retirement Community of Rogers, where John made his home; I had the extreme privilege of being John's "Boss Lady" for the last 2 years, and he was a pleasure to serve. His sense of humor followed him everywhere he went, whether sick or well, and he had the gift of making everyone around him better, happier, more willing to serve. I worked with John at Spencer Gifts for the 17 years that he was there. John was a wonderful person to work for, maybe I should say to work with. Although he was president of the company he never lauded that over the employees John was fair and kind to all those who worked for him
