John Paul Bogan's Obituary
John Paul Bogan, age 92, “Jack” to those who knew him, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born November 11, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Valeria (Sadauskus) Bogan. He was the first of four children. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dona (Downs), wife Mary Jane (Murphy), sister Dolores (Hudson), brother James and sister Marianne (Webb). He is survived by his wife Margaret (Atkinson) of 47 years of Fayetteville, son Tim of Bella Vista, daughter Patricia (Kammer) of Charlotte, North Carolina, son Jeffrey of Charlotte, North Carolina and three grandchildren, Robert, Erin and Seamus. Jack proudly served in the Navy during World War II as a radio operator on a PB-J sub-hunter bomber in the South Atlantic. After the war he became a tool and die maker for 33 years, then taught shop at West Fork High School and Prairie Grove High School for eleven years before retiring December 1991. Jack loved all sports, especially bowling which he participated in from 1946 to 2012. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, July 30, 2018 at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
