John Richard Carson, age 88, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday February 26, 2017 in Fayetteville. He was born April 2, 1928 in Vian, Oklahoma, the son of John T. and Myrtle F. Anderson Carson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arleta and his son John Alan Carson. He worked as a barber for 23 years in California, before coming to Fayetteville where he ran Johnny Carson's Hair Care for 45 years. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Carson of Fayetteville; three granddaughters Shawna King and her husband Hubert of Springdale, Crystal Massey and husband Matt of New York and Shelby Emerson and husband Robert of Springdale; and one great granddaughter Kennedy King. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM Thursday March 2, 2017 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
