What a GREAT veterinarian, friend and man! Many years ago, in Hot Springs, Doc Whittaker took care of our horses and even better - taught my sister, Leigh, and I equine care as well. He always patiently answered our many questions. Our prayers to each of you and hope that your wonderful memories of your dad will help heal your hearts!

Dr Whittaker was a wonderful caring person. He was always willing to answer my equine questions and help me in anyway he could. His love for horses shone throughout his work. He brought happiness whenever he came through our barn. I will miss him and always be grateful to have known him❤️🙏🙏

We hunted together for a number of years.
Doc was a great family man, he loved and calved his friends and will be truly missed by all that knew him.
A better man you will never find.
Doc you will be so missed in this world. You always brought smiles and laughs when ever you were around. Still laugh at biscuits on a stick you made for Chalky at deer camp. You were a big member of the Neighbors family and always loved. Girls my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love you, Tommie (Neighbors) Elsken
Gosh, John you were my big Brother growing up- Aunt B. always cooked eggs and gave you the white and me the yolk- You were always patient with me- and tolerated me following you around like a puppy. I loved hearing your hunting stories and always looked up to you. As we grew older we grew apart but I always loved you and our few phone calls we never hesitated to tell each other that. Rest in peace brother, no more pain, and think of the hunting grounds in heaven. Give all of our family hugs from me and someday I will see you again. Thoughts and prayers to all of your family.
