Johnnie Wayne Burkett, 73 of Springdale, AR passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Springdale. He was born March 21, 1937 to Woodrow Wilson Burkett and Vicie Myrtle (Seabolt) Burkett.
He was a retired diesel mechanic for CR Kidd and Cannon Express, a customer service representative for Wal-Mart, superintendent of Nob Hill Pentecostal Church of God, and a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife; Lela B. Burkett, one daughter; Nona Marie McVey of Springdale, AR, two sons; Jimmy Wayne Burkett of Lowell, AR, John Wayne Burkett of Springdale, AR, five brothers; William Arthur Burkett of Springdale, AR, Melvin Burkett of Springdale, AR, Luther Burkett of Fayetteville, AR, Buster Eugene Burkett of Florida, Clifton Burkett of Springdale, AR, four sisters; Mildred Rodriguez of Arizona, Dorothy Lou Hilton of Springdale, AR, Susie Baker of Huntsville, AR, Lucille Taggert of Huntsville, AR, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4th from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 4th at Oakland Cemetery in Fayetteville with Reverend Elvon Wolf officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Washington Regional Hospice.
