I was saddened to hear of Johnny's passing on the news! I always enjoyed the times I stood by him during concerts singing with the SMA & at rehearsals! One time at a rehearsal we were cutting up & Mike Bedford got on to us!! I was unemployed for a while before I left SMA & he offered me a job. I will remember Johnny as a man who was fun to be around & he cared about me!
Johnny was definitely one of the people in this world that whenever his name is mentioned a good thought comes to your mind. He always had a smile, a kind word and it was a pleasure knowing him.

So sorry for your loss. We enjoyed some great times talking about the Cowboys over the years. Johnny took me to my first Dallas Cowboys game in 1988 where we saw Hershel Walker and Tony Dorsett beat the New York Giants. Good times!
