Joseph Eddie Glasscock's Obituary
Life Legacy
“1 Thessalonians 4:14 - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep with Jesus will God bring with him.” On a beautiful sunny day at his home in Bristol, TN, Joseph Eddie Glasscock, 59, took his last breathe in his earthly vessel and took his first steps into eternity while tending to his annual tomato plants with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Lucian “Buck” Glasscock and Lucy Alma Ponder, and two sisters; Barbara Roach and Phyllis Neely. He is survived by his wife Marissa Marie Glasscock of Bristol TN., his eight children; Dominick Michael Roberts and wife Kimberly, Tuesday Nicole Roberts, Harley Wayne Roberts, Hanna Grace Roberts, Sara Emiline Roberts, Peyton Joseph Glasscock, and McKayle Brooklyn Glasscock; all of Bristol, TN., and Zeth Dalton Glassock and wife Heather, of Fayetteville, AR., and his beautiful granddaughter Leah Marie Roberts. He is also survived by six brothers and one sister; Leon Glasscock, David Glasscock, Raymond Glasscock; all of Winslow, AR., Norman Glasscock of Kansas City, KS, Freddie Glasscock of Norman, AR, and Mary Glasscock of Fayetteville, AR. He is also survived by many other loved ones, including nieces, nephews, and cousins; all of which he held very dear to his heart. Joseph was a loving husband, papaw, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all those around him. While being a man of many words, Joseph, being the kind hearted individual he was, never hesitated to help a friend in need. He was known for his tremendous love to cook, where the ingredients usually came from his own personal garden. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army, which encouraged his son, Zeth Glasscock, to follow in his footsteps and take that oath. A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 30th, 2018, at Moore’s Chapel located at 206 W Center Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at 9:00am, to be shortly followed by a service at 10am. Interment will follow at Coil Center Cemetery in Winslow, Arkansas under the direction of Moore’s Chapel, where Joseph will be laid to rest beside his mother, father, and sister.
