Joseph Eugene Dressendorfer's Obituary
Joseph Eugene Dressendorfer, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on November 26, 2017, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, at the age of 99. He was born January 6, 1918, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to William Joseph and Mary Ann (Cornfeld) Dressendorfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years Genoah Dressendorfer; and 8 siblings. Joseph was a welder during WWII at the ship yards in Portland, Oregan, working on minesweepers. He retired after 36 years as a dental technician and certified dental assistant. He kept busy during retirement remodeling homes. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church since 1945. Joseph is survived by his son Joseph E. Dressendorfer, Jr. and wife Patricia of Arizona; daughter Linda Sue Vanderpool of Fayetteville; grandchildren Casey Dressendorfer and wife Tina of Arizona, Brady Dressendorfer and wife Treva of Arizona, Abby Mendonca and husband Michael of Arizona; great grandchildren Jessie, Scotty, Cassandra, McKenna, Rylan, Derby, Analeigh, Genoah, and Berea; 6 step great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville at 12:00 PM, with a rosary at 12:30 PM. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home: 325 E Longview St, Fayetteville, AR 72703 or St. Joseph's Catholic Church: 1722 N Starr Dr, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
