Joseph R. Moore's Obituary
Joseph R. Moore, 80 formerly of Pocahontas, AR passed away Friday, August 30,2024 in Rogers, AR. He was born July 4,1944 in Beaumont, TX to the late John J Moore and Eileen (Thompson) Moore.
Joe graduated from Pocahontas High School, Arkansas State University, and the University of Arkansas. He taught in the political science department at Arkansas State University, before moving to Little Rock where he worked in state and federal positions for over 30 years. Upon his retirement in 2006 he returned to Pocahontas to live.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers, John Moore, Jr and James L. Moore.
He is survived by his two sisters, Carolyn Goff (James) of Bentonville, Virginia Moore of Centerton, AR, his nephew, Michael Goff, his niece, Julie Joyner (Stephen), and great nieces, Kelsey and Kristen Joyner. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends.
