Biography
Joy Locklear McGuffey, age 92, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Fayetteville.
She was born October 17, 1919 in Fort Worth, TX, the daughter of Daniel and Fannie Robertson Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd McGuffey.
She was a retired office manager, a Christian Scientist, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Bob Shackelford and his wife, Asuncion and her mother, Cecilia Soriano, all of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Robert W. Shackelford of Fayetteville, AR, Julie A. McClain and her husband Danny of West Fork, AR; Christine Marie Shackelford of Fayetteville, AR; two great-grandchildren, Will and Alex McClain.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2012 at Moore’s Chapel.
Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
