Joyce Lynnette McSwain's Obituary
Joyce Lynnette McSwain, age 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on December 31, 2024, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on September 10, 1939, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to W.B. McSwain and Connie (Jones) McSwain. Joyce grew up in Scott, Arkansas, and graduated from Scott High School in 1956. She worked for her father at McSwain Enterprises and for the state of Arkansas in the Highway Department. After moving to Norfork, Arkansas, she worked at Baxter Medical Center in the medical records department. Joyce was an avid fisherman, fishing the White River in Norfork, and all of the lakes near Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Connie McSwain; daughter, Sandy Kenward; and grandson, Justin Adams.
Joyce is survived by her son, James “Kip” Chapman; grandsons, Blake Chapman, Adam Chapman, Jeremy Adams and Jaime Adams; numerous great grandchildren, brother, Ken McSwain and wife Nora, and their children, Christina and Angela; and a special cousin, Bridie McSwain.
