Bro Phil, Gloria and I will be praying for you and your family during this time.
I was shocked to see a notice on an SBU alumni page telling of the passing of Dr. Misenheimer. She was such an inspiration to me as I was going back to school to become a teacher at the Mountain View campus where she taught. I was a single father at the time and she got to meet my very young son on several occasions. He always thought it was hilarious when she called him "Clint Kadiddle Hopper" from some children's book she was using in her classes. She and I traded basketball taunts back and forth whenever the Missouri Tigers played the Razorbacks. She was an amazing teacher and a wonderful person. I am profoundly saddened by her loss. Prayers for her family.
Please accept my condolence and those of my entire family. You have ministered so faithfully to us and to others in your role as a Hospital Chaplain, May the LORD bless and comfort your and your family in their sorrow.
"I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies" (John 11:25).

What a special lady Joyce was! I had the privilege of getting to know her when was part of our education faculty at Southwest Baptist University. She was an amazing teacher and role model for our teacher education students. Her office door was always open and she welcomed students who just dropped in to chat. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Phil, her children, grandchildren and all who are missing her now. Judy Bryant
I love all of them all family members and God richly blessed all of our individual lives. We had our ups and downs but God is always there for us. Our family is gradually getting smaller on this earth. But just wait until the Lord comes again. Our family we be better than we could have ever been on this earth. That being said I extend my prayers and condolences to Uncle Phil and many cousins. Also all of our family, too . Don't want to leave anyone out. Its not GOOD-BYE but see you later as I said at my dead dad's funeral.
Love,
Johnny Stamper
Dear Phil and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Phil, you know that Larry and I loved both of you. We so enjoyed visiting with both of you anytime that we could. Joyce was such a special lady and friend!!! It's hard to put into words how much I will miss her calls and letters. They were a "ray of sunshine" many times. May God comfort all of you!
Lots of love and prayers, Judy and Larry Wollard
P.S. It would have taken many pages to share all of the wonderful memories that I had of her.
I loved Joyce like a sister. We had so much fun shopping and eating coconut pie when she was at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, MO
