May 3, 2018Julia Ann was a life long friend -she was a childhood friend with my mom, she was my friend for almost all of my life, she was my children's friend, she welcomed their children when they arrived. And, of course, we were a tiny fraction of the folks she touched in her life. My thoughts are with her and you in her passing. She loved each of you so.
Wonderful memories of a loving host mother who I knew as my American Mum. To my host brothers and sister my thought s and love. Allan D Australia

Rick and Tom, and the rest of the family. Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you, and you are in my prayers. Your mom was always so welcoming to myself/friends in your home, or anywhere for that matter. And so positive and gracious - what a great example she set for teenage boys!
Weren't we 'lucky to have had such a wonderful soul in our lives. I am sure Bob and Gene greeted her in heaven singing "The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi".Thinking of you all at this time.Cynthia Mason
Every afternoon for many years, Jukie or I would call one another just to "check in". I looked forward to her voice...."Hi Carolyn! Got a minute?" Ours was one of my longest friendships and the world seems emptier now without that daily "check in".
