Karen Sue Dingus' Obituary
Karen Sue Dingus, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Westwood Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born on February 21, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to William and Gladys McCasling. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Charles Dingus; two brothers, Gene and Larry Skaggs; and sister, Peggy Kendall.
Karen was a navy wife for many years. While stationed in Virginia Beach she spent a lot of time enjoying the sun, sand, and waves with her children. Her love of the ocean came to an abrupt stop when she was diagnosed with Lupus.
Her husband, Charles, decided it was best after retirement to move out of the area so they moved closer to Karen’s mother in Oklahoma.
Dealing with Lupus, she became a stay at home mom who found passion in painting. From a lot of practice and guidance she became very talented.
Karen was a beautiful, strong, and loving person who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her five children, Jennifer Wilson of Springdale, Phyllis Lemke of Clayton, North Carolina, Pamela DeHaven of Tampa, Florida, Russell Wilson of Durham, North Carolina, and Bobby Scarsdale of Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Skaggs of Frostproof, Florida, Garry Skaggs of Hartford, Illinois; and sister, Wanda Sidun of California.
