Karen once agreed to give me a driving lesson in her Volkswagen bug. We were going around a sharp curve, and I kept pushing on the clutch instead of the brake. Karen white-knuckled around the curve as she held on to the handle bar on her glove box. Lol. We were thankful to survive such a close call. Also, Karen and I were both left-handed and our handwriting looked similar. There was a boy in our Biology class that liked me (but the feelings weren’t mutual). She wrote a sweet note to him and signed my name to it! I have a treasure of sweet memories going to Karen’s house. Betty would make us homemade pizza, brownies, and other goodies. Betty and Kenneth were perfect roles models of Christian parents-I realized later when I became a parent just how much they really taught me. I am so very thankful to God for giving me such a precious friend, and for her sweet family. Rest In Peace my sweet friend-you will always hold a very special place in my heart. Love ya!
